LG Optimus 3D official, video and pictures hands-on, Specs

LG has officially announced the LG Optimus 3D, the company’s 3D-capable smartphone based on a Texas Instruments 1GHz dual-core OMAP4 processor and a 5-megapixel dual-lens camera for 3D video capture. The Optimus 3D has an autostereoscopic 3D glasses-free display measuring in at 4.3-inches and WVGA resolution, HDMI 1.4 connectivity, DLNA support, up to 1080p 2D video recording and a broad range of codec support including H.264, H.263, DivX, MKV, WMV-9, ASF, AVI, 3GP and MP4. LG has thrown in 8GB of storage and a memory card slot, and there’s a new 3D UI with five 3D-dedicated UIs for the gallery, camera, game & apps, YouTube 3D and a 3D guide to the handset, Optimus 3D run Android 2.2 Froyo, with a Gingerbread update.
The LG Optimus 3D will arrive in Europe early in Q2.

Samsung Galaxy Player run Android, will showcase at CES 2011

Samsung has announced a new Android-based Galaxy Player that will be showcased next week at the CES 2011. According to the report,it will essentially be a Samsung Galaxy S without the cellular connectivity, runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS, featuring a 1GHz processor, 4-inch Super Clear LCD screen supporting up to WVGA resolution (800×480), T-DMB, SoundAlive audio enhancing technology, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.2MP rear camera with front facing camera for video calling, GPS, HD video playback, microSD card slot, Android Market and Samsung Apps access and a 1200mAh removable battery. Samsung Hub states that the Galaxy Player will be available in three sizes, 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB, though pricing and a firm release date are not yet available.

Acer introduced beTouch E140 run Android 2.2

As expected, the Acer beTouch E140 runs Android 2.2 a.k.a. Froyo (which isn't the latest Android version anymore) and comes in a tiny little plastic shell with a 2.8" resistive touchscreen of OVGA resolution on the front and a 3.2 megapixel digital camera to capture spur-of-the-moment snapshots, an FM radio with RDS, and a 1300 mAh battery for surfing the web, calling friends, and listening to music. Even the technical specifications are all top notch: 3G+, HSDPA (high-speed navigation and download), WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS are all integrated and is powered by a 600MHz processor. Acer didn't say a thing about the E140 availabity.

LG Star Tegra, picture, Runs Froyo, Has HDMI Port

The Tegra 2-powered LG Star has reappeared in a new spy photo shoot. The device runs Android 2.2 Froyo instead of the expected 2.3 Gingerbread but still managed to outperform the Nexus One.
The Star is running a customized UI on top of Android Froyo. Word is, however, that Gingerbread will take its place by the time the device launches. There's not much on the Tegra 2 specs, like CPU clock speed, but it did beat the Nexus One with Froyo at the Quadrant benchmark.

Android phone T-Mobile G2 Review

Admittedly, when I first saw pre-release images and info about the T-Mobile G2 and HTC Desire Z (the overseas version of the G2), I wasn't all that excited. It looked like a solid high-end Android smartphone but the design didn't scream sexy and no one feature stood out. The Samsung Vibrant has that super-slim design and vivid AMOLED display, the HTC EVO 4G has a monster 4.3" display and 4G WiMAX and HTC Sense software, but the G2 is a vanilla Android 2.2 Froyo phone with a slider keyboard. Nice, but not glitzy. Then I got the G2 in hand, and somehow I fell in love. The solid build, the really large hardware QWERTY keyboard, a current OS version (many Android phones ship with older OS versions) and obscene speed won me over.

T-Mobile myTouch HD, 1GHz CPU,running Froyo, Screen 3.8'

You like the T-Mobile G2 specs but don't need the QWERTY? T-Mobile's leaky faucet has the thing for you - the T-Mobile myTouch HD. The Froyo powered droid has HSPA+ connectivity and faster 1GHz CPU plus video calling.

A leaked T-Mobile document brags about how good the T-Mobile myTouch HD is but it's awkwardly worded. Plus it's just a rumor for now, so take things with a grain of salt for the time being.

Features include Android 2.2 Froyo running on a 1GHz "Dual Processor". It's probably a technical mistake, rather than a dual-core CPU but still it's faster than the G2's 800MHz processor. The screen is a bit bigger too at 3.8" and there's a "screen share feature" - we're going to guess TV-Out (they mention HD, which hints at HDMI).

Motorola XT502 Greco review specs

Motorola XT502 Greco was recently spotted over at the Bluetooth SIG – its model number, similar to the previous Motorola XT701 and XT800, were made available to the Asian markets. So far it looks like it features a quad-band GSM connectivity, tri-band UMTS, Wi-Fi, aGPS, Bluetooth 2.0, camera with flash, and a 3.5mm headset jack. From a quick glance on the photo provided by the Bluetooth SIG suggests that it is running Android 2.1 as opposed to the recently mentioned Android 2.2 Froyo.
