We have just exclusively received a photo of an unnamed Samsung device complete with sliding QWERTY keyboard that’s headed to AT&T in the coming months. While we don’t have much to go on, the device will sport the four-button Android layout as opposed to Samsung’s typical three-button layout at AT&T’s request, and the QWERTY keyboard even reflects that.

Picture of Sony Ericsson Hallon run android 2.3, next android phone of Sony Ericsson?

We're looking at a never-before seen Sony Ericsson smartphone running Android. Oh, and it seems to be attached to Vodafone Germany, for whatever that's worth. The handset in the photos, meanwhile, has a pronounced curve at the top that immediately brings to mind the Sony Ericsson Vivaz. Unlike Vivaz, however, this model locates the microUSB and headphone jacks above the screen instead of on the side of the device. We also see what looks to be a Gingerbread build, as well as an unusually large lens on that front-facing camera. Rumor has it that we're looking at a unit codenamed "Hallon" with model number MT15i -- both that model number as well as LT15i have reportedly shown up in website user agent logs as being Gingerbread-powered machines from Sony Ericsson.

Android 2.3 is the latest victim of an N900 sneak attack ( a few days ago I introduced images about Hack Nokia N900 to run Android 2.3 Gingerbread), and impressively, core components like messaging already seem to be working -- likely thanks to the fact that hackers had already gotten pre-2.3 builds rock solid.

Hack Nokia N900 to run Android 2.3 Gingerbread

Nokia’s N900 continues to prove itself a firm favorite with the modding community, now managing to get an Android 2.3 Gingerbread port before Google has even managed the official release for the Nexus One.  It’s primarily the handiwork of Alexey Roslyakov – aka DrunkDebugger – though not everything is fully functional quite yet. Still, cellular data, sound, WiFi and various other things are working, and he’s suggesting that there’ll be a stable build released before the end of the year.

Source Code Available for Android 2.3 Gingerbread

Gingerbread has just hit the Android Open Source Project's repository, which means you can set up your machine to download the code. Get to it, folks.
