ViewSonic ViewPad 7x: World’s first 7-inch Honeycomb tablet

ViewSonic is set to become the first company to launch a 7-inch tablet running Honeycomb, according to a new report on Wednesday. Referred to in the report as the ViewSonic 7x, though it would likely launch under the ViewPad brand — will be unveiled later this month at the annual Computex conference in Taipei. Reported specs for the upcoming Honeycomb tablet include a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, front and rear-facing cameras, HSPA+ support, DLNA support and an HDMI port. The 7x is expected to launch in June in certain markets, though we doubt U.S. availability should be expected any time soon.

HTC Pyramid featuring the tablet mobile OS Android 3.0 Honeycomb, 960 x 540 resolution 4.3-inch Super-LCD touchscreen, 1.2Ghz processor (it's not entirely clear from the machine translation how many cores are supposedly present in the CPU), 768MB of RAM, a giant 8-megapixel camera on the back and a regular ol’ crappy 1.3 megapixel camera on the front for video chat – the back camera having autofocus, single LED flash, and supposed additional features not yet revealed.

Download Honeycomb Music Player from Google I/O

XDA member johnnie93 somehow got his hands on what appears to be the Honeycomb music player that was featured last May at Google I/O. It’s super colorful, appears to have streaming music features built in, and fits the “new UI” that is rumored to be coming with the next OS version. This is a TEST BUILD not the full version!!
