Samsung Galaxy S 2 sold more than 1 million devices

Samsung Electronics said on 30 May Galaxy S2 has reached the mark of 1,000,000 sold, which means it is sold every three seconds. The Korean company said the time it took for sales to pass the 1 million milestone was the fastest of any device it has sold, and that the Galaxy S II beat the Galaxy S to that sales figure by 40 days. Since its release on 29th of April, Galaxy S2 passed 100,000 sold in 3 days, and 200,000 in 8 days, and reached 500,000 sold after a fortnight. This fastest 1,000,000 sold record, in particular, shortens its predecessor Galaxy S’s previous record by whopping 40 days.

Samsung Galaxy S2 Image and Specs leaked, update picture hands-on, Video

 Looks like we’ve got the first high-res picture of Galaxy S2 and some info on Samsung’s Galaxy S successor. The first blurry image was spotted by Moveplayer, Galaxy S II is just 8.49mm thick as compared to original Galaxy S’ 9.9mm - (For the record, the Xperia Arc is 8.7mm at its thinnest point). Also, the phone has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 1GHz dual-core CPU, Android 2.3 OS (Gingerbread), HSPA+, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and weighs just 116g.

Samsung Galaxy S2 full specifications leak?

UK online retailer Expansys posted today the complete specifications of the next generation Samsung Galaxy S phone. Galaxy S2 will feature a Qualcomm 8260 SoC with dual-core Snapdragon CPU, clocked at 1.2Ghz. The main party piece of the Samsung Galaxy S will be its Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen, 4.27-inches with a WVGA resolution of 800x480 pixels. At the back there’s an 8MP auto-focus camera with LED flash and digital zoom, capable of 1080p HD video recording and at the front there’s a 2MP one for video calling. Galaxy S may be have - 512MB RAM.
The storage options are the same as well – 16GB with a support for a microSD card support. The usual Wi-Fi b/g/n/, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS, and microUSB port are present, as well. Near Field Communications chip is also confirmed.
