Install Android 2.3 Gingerbread On iPhone, iPod Touch (Video)

If you love the Android platform and the absence of it has been the primary reason why they haven’t shifted to the iPhone there’s good news. Developers have succeeded in brining the Android 2.3 Gingerbread to iPhone 3G, iPhone 2G and iPod Touch 1. You will, of course, need to have a jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch to install it.

This release is for iPhone 2G,  iPhone 3G & iPod Touch 1G and is ONLY available as a binary package.
IF YOUR DEVICE IS NOT STATED ABOVE THEN IT IS NOT SUPPORTED – WE DO NOT HAVE ETA’S ON OTHER PORTS AT THE MOMENT.
Because this is a preview release, it will NOT be distributed via Bootlace.You DO NOT need a new version of OpeniBoot to boot this – If your openiboot install is capable of booting later MoJo releases, then it will be able to boot this New Versioning Scheme.

Google announced a new Translate app for iPhone

Today, Google announced the availability of a new Translate app for Apple’s iPhone. The app gives users the ability to speak to translate, listen to spoken translations, and utilize a full-screen mode. Currently, the application accepts voice input for 15 languages and can translate more than 50 languages. “The app also includes all of the major features of the web app, including the ability to view dictionary results for single words, access your starred translations and translation history even when offline, and support romanized text like Pinyin and Romaji,” writes Google. Translate is available free of charge in the App Store starting today.
