Sony's new firmware upgrade for the camera full-frame Alpha DSLR


Sony announced firmware upgrade for the two cameras Alpha DSLR-A900 and Alpha DSLR-A850. This is the first firmware upgrade for the two series of full-frame sensor Sony introduced since 9/2008 for α900 and in 8/2009 for α850.
    
In the new v2 firmware version, features automatic focus more on improving the speed and the ability to identify the smart object focus. In addition, the EV range of the machine was improved from ±3EV to ± 5EV up, enhance brightness and minimize drag of the machine.    Besides multi-frame shooting mode with different exposure levels (bracketing) also raised to 6EV (including-3EV, 0EV and +3 EV). Exposure to wider range of photographers easier to shoot HDR.
    
Upgrade Guide
    
Check the Firmware version of the machine you are using: first you check the machine you are using any firmware by the following:
        
Drag to the POWER button to turn On
        
* Press the MENU button.
        
* Click the Next button Disp (Display).
        
* The screen will show you which version to use. If the V1, the next you do the following procedure to upgrade.
    
Firmware upgrades: first you need a fully charged battery, memory card reader preparation or a USB cable to connect your computer with the camera. Furthermore you must make sure that the card is (MS or CF) has copied all data to computer and Format the card with the camera.
    
Download the firmware v2
        
* Version for DSLR-A900
        
* Version for DSLR-A850

    
- Run the EXE file will automatically unzip the file, we will file or DSCA850.APP DSCA900.APP
    
- Connect the camera to the computer or card reader, CF / MS files and burn DSCA850.APP DSCA900.APP or on the root directory of your memory card.
    
- Turn the camera on, the memory card into the camera.
    
- At the same time press the Menu button on the camera and use your other hand to pull the power button to On.
    
- The screen will ask if you want to upgrade the firmware or not, you scroll through, select OK to start. Execution time upgrade about 2 minutes.
    
- When the upgrade process you perform back end operations in Section B above to check your firmware is V3 or not.
