HBO Go App Now Available For iOS And Android

HBO officially launched its HBO Go app, which has been in the works since last year. The app will allow you to stream a variety of premium movies and original HBO series content to your smartphones and tablets.

Besides being able to stream recent HBO programs, the app also lets you access older shows and episodes as well as bonus features and behind-the-scenes extras. The app has a Watchlist that is customizable to let you mark programs for watching later. A Series Pass feature let’s you automatically populate your list with shows that you’re following.

All content can be delivered via WiFi or 3G connections. Unlike the Time Warner Cable iPad app, you are not restricted to your home WiFi network. The app is available for both iOS and Android platforms and is free to download. However, you must be a current HBO subscriber and a customer of a participating television provider.
