Motorola's First Intel-Powered Ice Cream Sandwich Revealed


Intel had a strong showing at the Consumer Electronics Show this year, and the fabless chip maker’s message was crystal clear: ARM. The firm’s chips have dominated the personal computing space for ages, and Intel plans to remain a key player as the smartphone and tablet markets continue to heat up. Likely to be among the first in a long line of Intel-powered smartphones we’ll see launch in the coming years, an image and details surrounding an upcoming Intel-powered Motorola smartphone have leaked online. Pocketnow.com published the image, which depicts a somewhat slender Android smartphone running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The handset is said to feature an updated version of MotoBlur as well as an impressive new camera. The report also states that the sleek Motorola smartphone is expected to debut at Mobile World Congress later this month, however a quick chat with one of our sources suggests that an MWC debut is unlikely and we’ll instead see this Android phone unveiled in the coming months.

Motorola Announces RAZR With Unlockable Bootloader for Europe, U.S. Variant Too


That headline is not a joke, folks. Motorola, through their community blog, has announced the RAZR “Developer Edition” which has an unlockable bootloader. No release date was given in the post, but from the sound of it, the device should be here very soon. A pre-order page is in the works here.

Motorola Wi-Fi-only Droid Xyboard is now available


The cheaper, Wi-Fi-only version of Motorola’s latest and greatest Xyboard tablet has begun shipping. Pre-orders for the units are now being fulfilled, and the product pages on Verizon’s website now show them as being available to purchase. The new products, which were originally scheduled for a January 18 launch, are geared at consumers who want a high-end tablet but don’t care about being able to take it online any time they want.

Motorola Mobility has won a wireless patent case against Apple in Germany



Motorola Mobility has won a wireless patent case against Apple in Germany this morning, meaning – unless Apple can secure a stay until an appeal can be heard – the iPhone and iPad could be blocked from sale in the country. A Germany court ruled that Apple’s cellularly-enabled devices infringe European Patent 1010336, detailing a “method for performing a countdown function during a mobile-originated transfer for a packet radio system” FOSS Patents reports, and deemed an essential component of the GPRS data standard. Motorola will have to cough up a €100m bond if it wants to chase a sales injunction, however.

Motorola XPRT Officially Announced


What you’re about to see is not an illusion. While it may look to you like the device you’re seeing is the DROID Pro, you’d be mistaken. This instead is the Motorola XPRT, a device that’s essentially the exact same device with a few tiny differences in the hardware. Where the device carried previously by Verizon had a 1420 mAh and an OK but not perfect amount of uptime, this new version contains a much more generous 1860mAh battery for a larger amount of time between charges. Then the keyboard is a tiny bit different from the device you’ve seen in the past, and the corners have a slightly different roundness to them.

Motorola PHOTON 4G Announced



There comes a time in every phones life when a device comes out to overshadow it. That’s what’s happening here today in New York (on June 8th, 2011,) with the ATRIX 4G, it being stoppered by the Motorola PHOTON 4G with a whole new form factor and name. That’s not to say that it’s better in every way, no way, it’s got many of the same insides as the former. But truly if there were a next step after the ATRIX in the Motorola library of devices, this would be it.

If you've had a hankering for some physical keyboard love on Sprint, today's the day to pick up the Motorola XPRT. If it looks familiar, it should -- it's basically the Droid Pro on Verizon. And like Big Red's version, this one's also a World Phone, meaning you can use it on GSM networks outside the United States.

Motorola i886 Android smartphone,specs, two keyboards, announced for Sprint


The Motorola i886 is the first iDEN phone to have two keyboards – one is a ‘normal’ T9 numpad, and there’s also a side-sliding physical QWERTY keyboard. Motorola i886 is a rugged device that meets military 810G requirements for dust, shock, vibration, low and high temperature, low pressure and solar radiation. However, it’s also an Android smartphone that packs both a regular numeric keypad and side-sliding QWERTY keyboard. In addition, the i886 comes with a somewhat small 2.2-inch QVGA display, 2-megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth, 1380mAh battery and a microSD memory card slot. Nextel Direct Connect features are also on board, group messaging included. Size wise, we’re talking about a phone that measures 116.3×51.1×18.5 mm and has a weight of 141.2 grams
The Motorola i886 is available for $79.99 after $50 rebate and with a two-year contract.

Motorola Droid Bionic 4G LTE, dual-core, quarter HD



At CES 2010, Motorola has launched the Bionic Power Droid, use the CDMA version of ATRIX 4G phone for GSM networks. Droid Bionic use dual-chip clock 1GHz, 512MB RAM, however, Droid Bionic has 4.3 inch screen quarter HD resolution (540x960) instead of 4 inches as juniors. Droid Bionic also has a secondary VGA camera in front of service of voice, video, HDMI is an indispensable communication device capable of shooting HD video and 8MP this. The most prominent feature of Droid Bionic is that it will use 4G LTE network Verizon. Facts Bionic Droid will be released in quarter two 2011, still no price.

Picture Motorola Cliq 2 another Android phone for T-Mobile


The new Mototola Cliq 2 features a full qwerty slide keyboard, looking something like an orange spider-web, along with a 5MP camera on the back of the device, paired with an LED flash. You’ll find the standard features, like integrated GPS, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, and WiFi b/g/n. There’s rumors that the device will also support WiFi calling, too. CellPassion has it that the device will also feature new MOTOBLUR widgets, along with a new version of the mobile OS. No word on whether or not the device will launch with Android 2.2 or 2.3.
Motorola Cliq 2 will be announced at CES and probably will be available on January 19th.

Motorola Droid Pro - Picture, specs, video review


Veteran BlackBerry users that have been dying to try Android but you just can't live without that front-facing QWERTY keyboard and MS Exchange support. Perhaps your IT person wants VPN and remote wipe capabilities; not everyday stuff for Android. Moto's here to change that with the Droid Pro, a Verizon global phone that packs a fast 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 CPU, plenty of RAM and capable graphics into a business suit. There's WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR and an autofocus 5 megapixel shooter too. But the small HVGA display and pint-sized keyboard are the price you pay for a phone that's got one foot in RIM's territory and the other in Android's.

The Motorola Olympus specs and release date information is not official yet, however according to BGR the Motorola Olympus will be released with AT&T. Motorola Flipout review

 Motorola recently announced the Flipout phone which is an Android 2.1 based smartphone with a square-shaped design. The Motorola Flipout weights just 120 gram and 67 x 67 x 17 mm in dimension. The phone uses a TI OMAP3410 600MHz processor and has a QWERTY keypad with separate row for numeric keys. The phone has a 2.8-inches 320 x 240 pixels TFT touchscreen that supports up to 256K colors.


Motorola XT502 Greco review specs

Motorola XT502 Greco was recently spotted over at the Bluetooth SIG – its model number, similar to the previous Motorola XT701 and XT800, were made available to the Asian markets. So far it looks like it features a quad-band GSM connectivity, tri-band UMTS, Wi-Fi, aGPS, Bluetooth 2.0, camera with flash, and a 3.5mm headset jack. From a quick glance on the photo provided by the Bluetooth SIG suggests that it is running Android 2.1 as opposed to the recently mentioned Android 2.2 Froyo.

But the price is lower ($50 less when buying direct from Verizon) and a few specs are weaker: HVGA 320 x 480 display vs. 480 x 854 and a a 3 megapixel fixed focus camera vs. 5 megapixel autofocus.
