The Motorola i886 is the first iDEN phone to have two keyboards – one is a ‘normal’ T9 numpad, and there’s also a side-sliding physical QWERTY keyboard. Motorola i886 is a rugged device that meets military 810G requirements for dust, shock, vibration, low and high temperature, low pressure and solar radiation. However, it’s also an Android smartphone that packs both a regular numeric keypad and side-sliding QWERTY keyboard. In addition, the i886 comes with a somewhat small 2.2-inch QVGA display, 2-megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth, 1380mAh battery and a microSD memory card slot. Nextel Direct Connect features are also on board, group messaging included. Size wise, we’re talking about a phone that measures 116.3×51.1×18.5 mm and has a weight of 141.2 grams
The Motorola i886 is available for $79.99 after $50 rebate and with a two-year contract.
