Picture of Sony Ericsson Hallon run android 2.3, next android phone of Sony Ericsson?

We're looking at a never-before seen Sony Ericsson smartphone running Android. Oh, and it seems to be attached to Vodafone Germany, for whatever that's worth. The handset in the photos, meanwhile, has a pronounced curve at the top that immediately brings to mind the Sony Ericsson Vivaz. Unlike Vivaz, however, this model locates the microUSB and headphone jacks above the screen instead of on the side of the device. We also see what looks to be a Gingerbread build, as well as an unusually large lens on that front-facing camera. Rumor has it that we're looking at a unit codenamed "Hallon" with model number MT15i -- both that model number as well as LT15i have reportedly shown up in website user agent logs as being Gingerbread-powered machines from Sony Ericsson.

Sony Ericsson Cybershot S006 16MP cameraphone snapped and detailed

The Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot S006 is a 16MP cameraphone, which is destined for the Spring lineup of the Japanese carrier KDDI. The carrier has US presence as an MVNO, and is roaming on the Sprint network, so at least in theory the phone should be compatible.
Other notable features of the Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot S006 are a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 3.3-inch screen, and all the usual connectivity options - WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS, but no smartphone OS. The camera is what matters here - the new Exmor R sensors are back-illuminated, which helps in low light situations, with ISO settings up to as high as ISO 12800. The sensor size is still smaller at 1/2.8" than the one on the Nokia N8, which, at 1/1.83", is the biggest camera sensor on a phone so far, so don't be fooled by the megapixel count.

Sony Ericsson Anzu, most likely to be called the Xperia X12 when it launches, has been put through its paces by a Russian reviewer who has managed to get hold of a preview unit.

Android 1.6 Donut wasn’t terribly bad for its time but it’s no match for either the functionality or the performance of Eclair and Froyo. That’s why i felt that the recent Eclair update it received was significant enough to justify a new article, rather than just update the old review.

  • Continuous auto focus in video recording

Sony Ericsson Vivaz goes on preorder at Vodafone UK
