Tinhte.vn ran a Geekbench benchmark to test Apple's new iPad, the test confirmed that Apple’s new tablet has 1GB of RAM and an ARMv7 dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz, the same speed as the iPad 2. The new iPad earned an overall Geekbench score of 756, similar to its predecessor, with its strongest results coming from the “Floating Point” and “Memory” tests, which were 915 and 815 respectfully. It should be noted, however, that the Geekbench test merely tests the CPU and does not examine the device’s graphics capabilities. Apple’s A5X chip features a quad-core GPU, which Apple claims is four times more powerful than NVIDIA’s Tegra 3.
